14,302 - Unnamed Flowers
JoAnn Stowell Width: 8.75" Length: 11.75" Materials/Techniques: This quilt is raw edge appliquéd. I used scraps from a huge basket that is overflowing. I can't get rid of that beautiful little piece of my favorite fabric. It is always a pleasure to rummage there. I put extra batting under the larger flowers. There are buttons and seed beads and metallic threads. It is thread signed.
Artist Statement: In the spring or winter when there are no flowers blooming I can still see color and shape so one just ad-libs it.
