14,302 - Unnamed Flowers
JoAnn Stowell Width: 8.75" Length: 11.75" Materials/Techniques: This quilt is raw edge appliquéd. I used scraps from a huge basket that is overflowing. I can't get rid of that beautiful little piece of my favorite fabric. It is always a pleasure to rummage there. I put extra batting under the larger flowers. There are buttons and seed beads and metallic threads. It is thread signed.
Artist Statement: In the spring or winter when there are no flowers blooming I can still see color and shape so one just ad-libs it. Dedication: To my mother who suffered from Alzheimer's and also to my two friends Ele' and Barbara who are caregivers and do such a wonderful job. This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles. Auction ends on August 10, 2013 at 10 p.m. (22:00 military time) Central Standard Time. Winners will be notified by email with payment instructions when the auction is over. Payment (Visa or MasterCard) is due by August 15th. Winners pay shipping via Priority Mail, plus insurance and 6% sales tax (MI residents only). Please read descriptions carefully. Note quilt size.
