Quilt #5250 - Memory Walk 2

San Luis Obispo, CA USA Width: 9" Length: 12" Materials/Techniques: Cottons, denim, and a bead - Fused, machine quilted, hand appliqued, thread painting. Artist's Statement: This is the fabric version of a photo of my mother, Frances Smith, and her boyfriend, Bill Weltner, both residents of Sydney Creek, an Alzheimer's Facility in San Luis Obispo, as they walked the halls. This photo was taken about two months before they both passed (Frances died May 16, 2009, and Bill two weeks later, June 1, 2009). The full scale Memory Walk (25X34") currently hangs at Sydney Creek. Susan "Smitty" Price Dedication: To Mom and Bill. This quilt is displayed with a traditional sleeve. Auction ends on December 10, 2013 at 10 p.m. (22:00 military time) Central Standard Time. Winners will be notified by email with payment instructions when the auction is over. Payment (Visa or MasterCard) is due by December 15th. Winners pay shipping via Priority Mail, plus insurance and 6% sales tax (MI residents only). Please read descriptions carefully. Note quilt size. All sales are final.
