Artist: MARIA R GOODWIN - Washington, DC USA Materials and Techniques: Machine pieced. Machine Quilted. Sea shells. Cotton and batik fabrics. Poly-cotton & rayon threads. Artist's Statement: Favorites are: Symbols/History/Color. This (patchwork) piece uses them to remember African American participation in World War I. Red/White/Blue: USA; Blue Star/Gold Star: Military Service & those who did/did not return; Gold: medals & honor awarded & earned; Red/Black poppy: military memorial flower; Cowrie shell: African American heritage. Size: 16" x 16"
Shipping & Handling Details:
Quilt will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail from our office Asheville, N.C. Contact admin@quiltalliance.org within 12 hours of auction close if you are local and would like to pick up your quilts in person.
Shipping and Handling Price: $12 for 1-3 quilts. Add $3 for each additional quilt.
