Description of Item

30X40 Original piece of art by Tami Odom of Sparrow's GalleryCreatively Yours

Acrylic on Canvas

By

Tamie Beth

When I am painting I am always in touch with God. He is the ultimate creator so I love to pray and paint. I teach the process of acrylic pours and I know they are very popular right now. People will tell me, “Anyone can do these!” I always chuckle and remind them that Bob Ross made a fortune teaching how to paint happy trees but just because you can copy his style doesn’t make you Bob Ross. It took about a half gallon of paint to create this work of art with many different cups of paint being mixed! Music plays a vital part in my creative process and it seems I listen to Christian music as I’m mixing and chatting with God; then when it’s time to get nitty gritty into it - anything goes! From Gavin DeGraw and Imagine Dragons to Sting and Miles Davis it all shows up in my work. I hope you love my work as much as I love creating it for you! My path to art began as a child when in third grade my Aunt Beth (an elementary school principal) gave me praise for an art project. I loved the praise for something I had made! To this day I sign my art Tamie Beth (my middle name) to honor her for sending me on a lifelong love. When I finally got the chance to open Sparrows Gallery its been the culmination of a lifelong dream!
