Charlotte Warr Andersen Width: 15" Length: 15" Materials/Techniques: All cotton fabrics, cotton batting with a layer of flannel, cotton and silk threads. Hand appliqué, digitized machine embroidery and machine quilting.
Artist Statement: Are the footsteps going into or coming out of the woods? The path is dreary, bleak, cold and bitter; but there is a touch of hope. This quilt was made at the invitation of Ami Simms and the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. Dedication: To those who set out on the path of Alzheimer's and the people who love and care for them and share the weight. Fundraising and research offer that glimmer of hope. I love you, Mom. This quilt has a Split Sleeve. Auction ends on November 10, 2013 at 10 p.m. (22:00 military time) Central Standard Time. Winners will be notified by email with payment instructions when the auction is over. Payment (Visa or MasterCard) is due by November 15th. Winners pay shipping via Priority Mail (calculated by weight and distance, from about $5.32 to $9.88), plus insurance and 6% sales tax (MI residents only). Please read descriptions carefully.
