Award: Members' Choice: Honorable Mention Artist: Pauline Salzman - Treasure Island, FL USA Materials and Techniques: Aboriginal Artists cotton fabric, Cotton Fabric. Aurfil Thread, Netting, Wool felt batting. Fused Applique with netting over the top Artist's Statement: Quilting a quilt in bright colors and telling a story doesn't get much better. This is my tribute to those young girls who have been told they are plain. They are not. My mom told me I was plain. Learn to play the piano...so I could be invited to parties. Using an old photo...I decided Jane is not so plain and she has an inner beauty. Using Aboriginal Artists that I bought in sample packs made that possible. Size: 16" x 16"
Shipping & Handling Details:
Quilt will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail from our office Asheville, N.C. Contact admin@quiltalliance.org within 12 hours of auction close if you are local and would like to pick up your quilts in person.
Shipping and Handling Price: $12 for 1-3 quilts. Add $3 for each additional quilt.
