The goal of our basket was to highlight the diversity found within Ms. Clark’s classroom. Our basket contains items and books that represent the cultural heritage, countries, and religious backgrounds of our children. The 18 flags represent the countries and states that the guides, children, parents, and grandparents of Ms. Clark’s classroom are from and/or have significant ties to. The bilingual books represent the 15 languages that either the children speak or are spoken to by relatives.
