Artist Name: Margaret M Cibulsky
City/Town: Port Washington Materials and Techniques: Various cottons pieced onto Cherrywood base. Hand embroidery with Perle #8 & #12 cotton. Artist's Statement: My inspiration for this quilt came after reading Elizabeth Gilbert's book Big Magic. A short section called Fierce Trust, in Part V, grabbed my attention. The "fierce" part of trust is putting your work out there regardless of the outcome. Failure or success does not matter. Trust yourself, your voice, your desire to create because there is value in doing and sharing what you love. Size: 16" x 16" |
