Materials and Techniques: Cotton commercial fabrics, cotton batting, fabric paint

Artist's Statement: This piece was inspired by the sight of two teenage girls standing on top of a concrete pedestal at the Women's March on Washington. Of the thousands of signs I saw that day I was struck by the power of theirs. A scrap of cardboard that read 'fight like a girl' became a message of our strength and their young confidence gave me hope.
