Kenzie Mills is, quite simply, a precocious 12 year old who loves to cook. She started her culinary journey at the ripe age of three, cheerfully working at Mom’s direction on everything from shredding chicken to preparing Thanksgiving stuffing. She rapidly moved forward from that to creating her own meals by the age of 7, expanding her skills from simple fare to haute cuisine. At the tender age of 11 she auditioned for Food Network’s Chopped Junior, gaining entrance to the “Make Me a Judge” tournament. After winning her episode, she was rewarded by another episode judging the judges – actually being given the chance to critique her culinary idols. Far from being the pinnacle of her journey, Kenzie’s appetite for success was only whetted, with a desire to learn, experience, and train with the area’s best. She has recently been a “guest chef” at several area restaurants, including Ocean Prime steakhouse in downtown Dallas. Her dream is to take her concept of “Texan inspired elevated comfort food” to NYC, and to hopefully earn a Michelin star.
