About This Item

Description of Item

Enjoy a 2-night Texas staycation at the historic Sabine Ranch. This amazing 20,000 sq. ft. lodge sleeps 14 people with 9 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, 4 living room areas, a pool table, shuffleboard, backgammon and poker!

The Conservation Fund purchased Sabine Ranch to be added to McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge, completing the original McFaddin family boundary of 106,000 acres. Sabine Ranch is located along the Upper Texas coast, just 70 miles from Houston. Included in the package is accommodations, local cuisine and the following 3 tours: a birding tour of Monteaux Pond, home of the nation's largest population of resident Mottled Ducks, an airboat tour of Willow Slough Marsh and a sunset wine and cheese viewing along the Intracoastal Waterway.

This package includes "Field to Table", a cookbook by best-seller Susan Ebert. Susan is a local writer, hunter, wild forager, fisherwoman and an all-around conservation champion. Susan Ebert will also be catering the meals during your stay at Sabine Ranch.

Expires 10/18/2019. Valid for a 2-night stay for 14 people. Blackout dates November 2018 - January 2019. Recommended booking dates during spring migration from March - June 2019.
