Autumn Leaves -

Patty began her quilting journey after being inspired by quilting shows on Public Television. Her pieces have received many ribbons at quilt shows in the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia areas. For “Autumn Leaves,” she chose fabrics with perfect colors: rust, purple, brown, burgundy, orange and tan. There are no leaves in the blue sashing strips, but she incorporated leaves in the actual quilting of those strips. The pocket on the back of this 15½” x 33” piece indicates that it is to be hung vertically, so it will only take a small piece of wall to display it. Alternatively, it looks wonderful hanging above a side table or other fairly short piece of furniture.
