About the Artist

“Lynne Hubner’s art is a celebration of the people and places she has encountered at home and afar. Her work has been described as “visual haiku” due to her ability to capture the essence of a scene and invite the viewer to enter with their own dialogue". A McKinney-based artist for over 30 years she supports the local arts community and serves as Exhibit Curator at the Heard Natural Science Museum.

About the Artist

"I have been fusing glass for over 15 years and before that, I did mosaics for 8 years. I create glass art in a kiln using cut, crushed and powdered glass, glass stringers, and dichroic glass. My work includes functional, decorative & wall art. Functional pieces are slumped or draped in molds to create different shapes. Different effects can be created by varying kiln temperatures, firing times, etc."
