About the Artist

Stan created his bowl with the assistance of Steve Macias, a potter at SPARC, a co-op studio in McKinney.

Stan Penn is running for McKinney City Council.

His goal is to build a better McKinney by preserving the past and embracing the future.

“I’m not running for City Council to be important, but to do important things for the City of McKinney; to do the difficult tasks, not the easy things.

McKinney is at a crossroads. We are enjoying the fruits of strong past labors and visionary leadership. McKinney cannot rest on its laurels now. We cannot afford to get bogged down on issues and personalities that divide us. We must have the courage and strength to overcome and thrive.

We still have lots of work to do and I hope you will join me as we try to move McKinney forward into a bright and prosperous future.”
