Mrs. Fisher was part of a small group of five quilters who got together regularly. Lyric Kinard was a featured quilter at the Ogallala Quilt Festival one year. She had written a book, “Art Plus Quilt.” Mrs. Fisher's group used her book. It gave them creativity exercises and taught them how to create and talk about art quilts. This is the first in a series of art quilts she created using inspiration from the book. Help for Haiti was from the lesson on texture. She used ropes and satin fabric to create the texture. Made by Linda Fisher in Lubbock in 2010. Machine Quilted. 10.5" length and 9" width.
