Quilt #5246 - Gone

Diane Petersmarck
Evanston, IL    USA

Width: 9"   Length: 12"

Materials/Techniques: Background is a piece of hand dyed silk from QuiltersStitchTogether.com. Tree silhouettes and footprints are cut out of hand dyed cotton and fused, then thread painted. Bound in hand dyed cotton.

Artist's Statement: In a world suddenly awry with foreboding shapes and colors, the dementia sufferer wanders; looking for something familiar to anchor himself to. As his path gets more and more frightening, he is slowly gone, unreachable, and finally, lost forever.

Dedication: As always, to my Dad, who motivates all my work for the AAQI.

This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles.
