Silk and cotton fabric; Hobbs Heirloom batting; silk, cotton and polyester thread.

Techniques:

Machine appliqué, machine pieced and machine quilted. Some of the background fabric is embellished with decorative stitches.

Design Inspiration:

Inspired by Libby Lehman's quilt, "Circle the Date". Sue Nickels and I made this quilt as part of an invitational exhibit to honor our friend, Libby Lehman. We picked one of Libby's quilts (Circle the Date) and designed our interpretation of her piece. It was a pleasure to think of how special Libby is to us with every stitch we put in this quilt.
