My ceramics are each made by me, by hand, over a period of weeks. First preparing the clay, then throwing, trimming, glazing, and finishing. I work in three clay mediums - balcones, dillo white, and porcelain. The beauty is in the process - and in the fact that each piece is unique and special.

I split my time throwing pottery between a tiny corner in my garage (sandwiched between the beer fridge and the kids’ scooters) and a local ceramics studio (with incredibly talented teachers and endlessly creative fellow students).

While working in Virginia, my former boss once told me that “it’s best not to complicate a ham sandwich.” So here I am, throwing vessels to hold something special in your home, made with clean lines and uncomplicated, simple forms. Enjoy.
