This Linda Poole design was created as a gift for the artist's mother. The totally proper pose is enhanced by intricate detail: the face is hand colored and inked, and the hair is combed mohair. It is hand-drawn, hand-pieced and hand-quilted. Framed in a shadow box of walnut, this piece would grace a formal room and evoke memories of elegance and manners. A letter of provenance accompanies this offering. |
