This crazy quilt was made in 1909 with solid white pieces instead of colorful fabrics. Red floss has been embroidered between all the seams in herringbone and feather stitches. This quilt is two layers, with no batting. It is hand embroidered, and also hand quilted. The quilting is done with white thread, of shapes including hearts, hands, scissors, and flowers. This quilt measures approximately 76" x 76" and is well loved. |
