Back of framed picture signed by John Minihan. John Minihan captures the great Irish playwright, poet and novelist Samuel Beckett. Beckett was awarded Nobel Prize in Literature in 1969. Minihan is famous in his own right - Irish photographer most known for his Beckett photographs. Beckett was rarely photographed before he met Minihan. Minihan has had many exhibitions worldwide at famous galleries, including MoMA, Rio 1984; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris1986; National Portrait Gallery, London 1987-88 and others. |
