Mrs. Fisher states that this was an unusual piece. She found a pre-printed pattern for embroidery at an estate sale but decided she did not want to just do embroidery, so she quilted it instead. She used Crayola’s and colored the flowers first then embroidered on it and put those pieces into circles and appliquéd the circles on the background. The quilt has dimensional roses in spots on the trellis. This quilt won an honorable mention at the Lubbock Arts Festival. Made in Lubbock TX by Linda Fisher, 2010-2011. Machine Quilted. 67.5" length and 22" width. |
