Mrs. Fisher said she took a class at the Museum of Texas Tech University on needle work taught by Sue Spargo. Instead of doing just one block of felt leaves hand stitched onto the piece, she did one for each season. When she got her class project home, she had so much fun doing the stitching, she just had to do something with it that was useful, so she used it on a quilt. She had this wonderful background fabric that she bought in California and she just loved it. The tree on the far right was the one she did in the needlework class.
