Description of Item

Two inspiring books are included in this kit. One is I Lay My Stitches Down written by Cynthia Grady - Poems of American Slavery.   The other is Quilt Inspirations from Africa by Kaye England and Mary Elizabeth Johnson - A Caravan Ideas, Patterns, Motifs and Techniques. 

Fabrics include a 7" X 7" African Embroidered Patch made in South Africa, one panel 22" X 24" designed by Julia Cairns for Quilting Treasues, 1/2 yard companion fabric for the panel, another 1 yard piece, 6 fat quarters of African inspired fabrics, 4- 1/4 yard batiks, and 2 one yard pieces of authentic African fabric. It all comes in a tote bag from South Africa!
