About This Item

Description of Item

Size: 6"W X 9"L

Materials: Cotton fabrics.

Inspiration:  Hazel was given fabric - fabric that was not her Style so she decided to challenger herself to make a group of small quilts.  The project was quite fun.  In fact, Hazel enjoys two small quilts from the project each day right in her own living room!

Bio: Hazel is a well known quilt historian and appraiser and the founder of the Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion, Indiana.  She is also a founding member and organizer of Quilters Unlimited in Northern Virginia.  Her writings include many quilt articles and the introduction to Quilts of Virginia 1607-1899 published by Vorginia Consortium of Quilters.  For all of Hazel's research, writings, and organizing, her main interet has always been simply quilting, being with quilters, and exchanging ideas and techniques.     She has served on the Board of Directors, the Adivsroy Board and on the exhibit and collections committees of the Virginia Quilt Museum.
