The Quilt's Story: This quilt was started in October 2019 by Unique Stitchers'n More members working together in an assembly line to produce a paper pieced log cabin using a "no trim" method. The log cabin blocks contain a light beige fabric that is contrasted with dark fabric scraps. The center star shape pattern is surrounded by alternating rows of dark scraps versus beige scraps. The piano key border alternates the beige fabric with dark scraps. the border hangs down 9.5 inches on 3 sides of a queen bed. Each corner of the quilt contains a single log cabin block. The quilt was machine custom quilted by Hawthorne Quilts of Stover, MO in July 2020 using a soft pellon cotton batting and a Timeless Treasures backing fabric containing delicate black floral pattern on a light ivory background. Beautiful feathering runs through the beige areas of the quilt. The binding is made of the leftover dark scraps.
