Quilt, 73 x 86, circa 1890. Wagon Tracks, Brackman # 1695c. An extremely eye-catching graphic quilt. Vivid, graphic pieced blocks on point in red, chrome orange and dark blue/green alternate with a small red print setting square. Hand quilted through a fairly thick batt with concentric circles and hearts in the setting squares and outline quilting in the pieced squares. Pale grey and white striped flannel back turned to the front and machine stitched as binding. Provenance tag from Barbara Moll reads "Kruse Kleine Barb's great grandmother." Some staining on alternating blocks. Some general light dye bleed from the chrome orange onto the alternating blocks. Condition good. Hanging sleeve.

Quilt, 84x80, circa 1930. Nile green and white Drunkard's Path blocks with wide matching border. Hand quilted, outline quilting and a single flower in the white sections of the blocks (two or three different flower patterns). The borders are quilted with vine corners and triple line diagonal stitching at border centers. White backing, white binding. Condition is good. Whites are slightly yellowed with age, binding is worn through in several places, a couple of small spots. Red selvedge printing visible on one block. Hanging sleeve.

Quilt, 70X82, circa 1910. Lady of the Lake variation; also "Vermont", Brackman # 2338b. Blocks in shades of red, blue, tan, claret and assorted shirting prints. An astounding array of prints of this era. Hand quilted in a diagonal grid. White backing turned to the front for binding. Hanging sleeve. Two or three fairly small areas of dye bleed, otherwise condition is excellent.

Stars are outline quilted by hand. Bordered on two sides with a hand quilted cable design. Hanging sleeve. Made by Barbara Moll's Grandmother Amos (Kleine).

Quilt, 81X82, circa 1880-1920. Carolina Lily blocks in solid red, orange and blue fabrics. Blue was possibly green at one time. Hand pieced and appliqued. Hand quilting outlines the pieced elements and adds four flowers to each block - two at the top of the downward pointing flowers and two at the base. Grid quilting on the alternating white blocks. White backing and binding. Condition good; one block has damaged red fabric, one corner of the binding needs to be resewn, overall yellowing of white fabrics. Hanging sleeve.

Quilt, 64X77, circa 1880. Tumbling block one patch quilt in a wide variety of prints blacks, double pinks, browns, purples, lace prints, robe prints and shirtings. Double pink binding, white backing. Hand outline quilted. Condition good. Light wear on fabrics is most evident at the four corner. Binding worn in several places. One bite out of the edge is 3" by 1.5", with all fabrics and batting missing. Two blocks have disintegrating fabric.

Quilt, 78X85, circa 1900. Red work embroidery blocks on white fabric, set on point. White border. Attached documentation says that the quilt was embroidered by Dessie Mendenhall, age 14, who lived in Delaware County, Indiana and died in the1940s. Hand quilting with feathers along the diagonal joining seams with a small square grid behind the embroidered figures. The border is quilted with double diagonal lines. White fabric is heavily yellowed. There are a few spots and one hole. Embroidery all appears intact. Binding, applied by machine, is frayed. Condition fair to good.

Hand quilted with hummingbird blocks quilted in the alternating blocks and flowers quilted in the wide white border. White back and binding. Hanging sleeve. Condition good. Fabrics are faded. White fabrics have overall light soil and staining.

Quilted wall hanging, 55X55, unfinished, It appears that an incomplete double wedding ring quilt top, circa 1930, was appliqued to a muslin background and hand quilted with a polyester batt, probably in the 1970s or 1980s. White back. Needs binding and additional quilting in one corner. Some light staining on the white background fabric. Condition very good.

Quilt. 71 X 84. Variation on Brackman # 1940, Spider's Den. Circa 1920 with earlier fabrics. Wonderful variety of fabrics. Entire quilt is somewhat faded. Filling for the quilt appears to be a tufted comforter with wool yarn ties. In at least one spot the red tuft shows through the top. Hand quilted in white thread. Hand and machine pieced. Zigzag quilting on the blue sashings, a vine with leaves on the blue borders. Original binding is worn and frayed.  Blue back matches the sashings and borders.

Quilt. 76X78. Circa 1920. Gold embroidered blocks on white set on the diagonal with gold sashing. Hand quilted with grid quilting through the blocks and border. Interior gold border quilted with undulating branches. Outer border is quilted with hanging diamonds. Damage along the white outer border, some of which has been repaired with machine stitching. Muslin "chin cover", damaged, along top edge. The quilt has been rebound in yellow. Overall yellowing, stains, rips and tears. Some of the embroidery has worn away, revealing the blue transfer pattern. Condition fair to poor.

Quilt, 76X88, possibly circa 1920. Pinwheel blocks in a variety of soft pink solids. Wide triple border is in dusty pink and a brighter pink with white. Very good hand quilting outlines diamonds, grid in alternating blocks, diamond quilting in the pink borders and a double line chain in the center white border. White backing and binding. Condition is good. Whites are creamy with age. Numerous light stains, some tiny black spots. Would probably respond well to careful washing.

Quilt, 72X79, circa 1920. Blue work embroidery on white with blue print sashing and border. The motifs are a variety of conventionalized animal and figural designs from a variety of sources. They include sunbonnet girls, including one with a Model T Ford, animals, baskets, birds, and cross stitch designs. The blocks are heavily worn. Blue binding is frayed with tears in the border, white backing. Hand quilted in undulating rope design in sashing and borders and in diagonal grids in the blocks. Condition poor.

White muslin back is turned to the front for binding. A few ink marks on one block, minor staining, a tear on one block. Overall good condition.

Singer 221 Featherweight sewing machine with case, original pedal and attachments. Original case includes upper tray with five bobbins, machine needles, two manuals (one 1941 and one 1964), and a box with ten attachments, a Singer threading tool and original Singer motor lubricant, and case keys. Serial #AM152635, made in 1955. Appears to have new feet, felt spool bed and belt. Sews very smoothly. Decals and machine body are in pristine condition. Sole plate has seam gauge. Back corner of case is frayed and the handle is splitting. Does not have original oil can. Condition excellent.

White backing, blue binding. Batting appears to be a thin flannel sheet. Hand quilted with clamshell quilting in the blocks. Condition poor. All fabrics abraded and worn, extensive fading, binding worn through. But a VERY unusual pattern!

Due to the ease of treadle reach, the "Fanny" is favored by the average weaver for comfort over long weaving sessions. Leclerc's compact, solid design allows weaving a full range of fabric including rugs. Comes with bench, reeds, shuttles, warping board, and some yarns.
