Antique two-colored quilt, Barbara Brackman # 2342, (Aunt Mary's Double Irish Chain) in popular blue and white. 71" X 83". First half of the 20th century. This striking quilt has a double sawtooth sashing that has been meticulously planned, surrounded by a wide white outer border. Hand pieced, hand quilted, but the blue binding was applied by machine. Good condition, stain on one block (see photograph). Donated by Quilters Hall of Fame Honoree Donna Wilder. |
