Antique Quilt Top c. 1890-1910, 74" square. Nine Patch design set flush without sashing. The colors are the classic indigo, claret, red, pink and black prints of the era with other scraps including neons, double pinks, mourning prints, greens, red and black robe prints, vermiculars, etc. The mourning print border is finished with red corners. All machine pieced; all fabrics feel crisp.This is an excellent fabric study collection. Donated by Quilters Hall of Fame Honoree Donna Wilder. |
